What is a Game Developer

A game developer role is as varied as it is skilled and can include but is not limited to:

  • Writing storyboards, storylines and features
  • Developing characters, character bios and plots
  • Create storylines based on their own or other ideas
  • Design and develop detailed documentation that outlines every aspect of the look and feel of the game, its functions and purpose
  • Write and develop the code that will be used to create and build the game
  • Design and create graphics, digital visuals, imager and sound effects
  • Design and develop all content and visual animation
  • Build test versions of the game to measure, identify and rectify any errors
