What is a Food Technologist

A Food Technologist has a keen interest in science and research. Day to day tasks include but are not limited to:

  • New ingredient sourcing and selecting
  • Streamlining manufacturing processes
  • Design and development of new and improved food packaging
  • Quality assurance assessment for food products
  • Nutritional property assessment of food products
  • Conduct tests and trials of new food products
  • Develop new drink and food products
  • Measure and improve the quality of  current drink and food products
