What is a Energy & Chemical Plant Operator

An Energy and Chemical Plant operator assess, maintains and manages high-risk operations such as oil wells, gas plants and power stations. Day to day tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and maintain all kinds of equipment that process things like electricity and electricity products, chemicals, gas, natural gas and petroleum products
  • Maintain and upgrade equipment to sustain efficiency and ensure safety
  • Record and report on readings for temperature and pressure of equipment
  • Repairs and maintenance of equipment
  • Chemical and water sampling
