What is a Chemist
A Chemist is enquiring and innovative. Day to day tasks include but are not limited to:
- Environmental and chemical monitoring
- Testing and measuring of chemical samples
- Developing chemical processes for industry
- Write and publish findings in scientific journal articles
- Supervise and train staff and students
- Analytical quality and safety testing of samples
- Development and design of specialised equipment for the study of chemicals
- Development and implementation of methods for the study of chemical compounds
- Manufacture of chemicals
