What is a Penetration Tester
Penetration Testers are essentially IT security experts with strong hacking skills. Day to day tasks include but are not limited to:
- Use their hacking skills to try and break into IT systems to identify vulnerabilities
- Analyse, monitor and identify security vulnerabilities in IT systems and process for organisation
- Auditing and reporting of identified security risks and vulnerabilities in IT systems and networks
- Create, implement and enforce a wide range of security and IT policies
- Stay up to date with the latest hacking techniques and software
- Monitor and manage cybersecurity threats
