What is a Biomedical engineer
A Biomedical Engineer can work in a wide variety of sectors including Veterinary, film animation, research institutes, private corporates, universities, medical departments and more. Day to day tasks include but are not limited to:
- Public health and research support
- Development and design of medical products
- Development and design of medical devices and equipment
- Design and creation of artificial body parts for humans and animals
- Training of medical staff in regards to technical research and device operation
- Maintenance and repair of medical devices, products and equipment
